St John’s Out of School Care
 
                    - offering professional care by qualified staff at competitive rates
                            within the safe, familiar environment of the School.

St John’s Out of School Care operates before and after school care, for children aged from 3 to 13 years, in it’s own self-contained building within the school grounds. The Club offers a flexible service, one-off sessions are available as well as regular bookings, and although the majority of the children attending the Club come from St John’s First School, we are also happy to welcome those children from Brewood Middle School who are eligible for school transport to Bishops Wood and any children who can be transported to the Club.
  

     Opening times:

     Breakfast Club                      7.30 – 8.50am

     After School Club                 3.15 – 6.00pm

     Breakfast is provided at no extra cost, similarly a drink and snack is included during
     the afternoon session - the Club encourages healthy eating, with fruit being available
     at all times.

Activities

The range of activities offered by the Club is creative and stimulating.

These are some of the activities to be sampled at the Club:

·         Art work using a variety of materials

• Quiet corner – Storytelling, reading, homework
• Games – Board games, puzzles and jigsaws
• Sports – Rounders, cricket, tennis, football etc
• Computer

The Club is run by a non-profit-making committee and is registered with Ofsted.

The recent Ofsted inspection reported that:

“the children are enthusiastic and self-assured in the Club’s welcoming environment”,

“there is a good, extensive range of resources and equipment which support children’s
development and leisure activities”

“children use their initiative, are encouraged to think for themselves  and use their own ideas”.
