Diwali 2025

On 22nd October, St John's came alive with colour and celebrated as we marked Diwali! Mrs Gidda began the day with an inspiring and informative assembly, sharing how Diwali is celebrated in the Sikh religion and giving us a glimpse into her own family traditions. Throughout the day, the children enjoyed exploring rangoli patterns, trying on traditional dress, making rocking candles, tasting delicious traditional foods and dancing Bhangra dances. A huge thank you to Mrs Gidda for sharing her knowledge, enthusiasm and expertise – the children had an absolutely fabulous day!
