St John's Day- Friendship
St John’s Day 2025 – Celebrating St John the Friend
This year, our St. John’s Day celebration focused on St John as a friend. The day began with a walk to church, where we joined together in a special service to reflect, sing, and pray.
Back at school, the celebrations continued with activities all centred around friendship. We made friendship bracelets, played games with our friends, and enjoyed a picnic on the school field, using specially designed lunch bags to mark the occasion. We also created colourful paper chain friends, each one representing someone special.
Throughout the day, we learnt about how St John teaches us the true meaning of being a good friend. We took time to reflect on our own friendships—how we treat others, how we listen, and how we show kindness. We thought about what it means to be the best friend we can be, just as St John was to Jesus.
